Polymeric Membranes |
Polymeric membranes are microporous films which act as semi-permeable barriers to separate two different medium phases. Polymeric membranes come in different pore sizes and filter by retaining particles larger than their pore size primarily by surface capture. They are ideal for both microfiltration and ultrafiltration applications.
Made of specially formulated hydrophilic polyethersulfone (PES) or polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) material, Hyflux polymeric membrane has a uniquely designed asymmetric profile with sponge-like structure. With its proprietary composite potting technique and automatic backwash function, Hyflux polymeric membrane ensures both high permeate flux and quality, high throughput, and great system recovery.
With minimum operating attention, Hyflux polymeric membrane can still meet the strictest discharge criteria with ease. Polyethersulfone is easy to process as it has good film-forming properties. These robust membranes have very good control of the pore size and pore size distribution. Under certain conditions, they offer good resistance for ozone, chlorine and UV. These properties provide polymeric membranes with enormous growth especially in the water and wastewater treatment industries.
